Executive Education celebrates 20 years
Three inspirational presenters shared their vision of future work trends at a glitzy event to celebrate Executive Education’s 20th birthday.
Business professionals from some of New Zealand’s leading companies attended the event on 9 August to hear short sharp talks from marketing lecturer Dr Mike Lee, digital marketing specialist Malcolm Phillipps and corporate communications consultant Nick Read.
They were joined by past and present Business School staff, including the founder of Executive Education Mike Groves, who shared anecdotes from when the initiative came to life 20 years go under the umbrella of Short Courses.
“An advisory board helped us to develop our vision – to lift the competency of the nation.”
Executive Education Director Ivan Moss said a lot of progress has been made over the past 20 years and there were now more than 50 short courses on offer.
The challenge now would be to continue to adapt to the changing needs of workplaces in the age of digital disruption.
“When we deliver great executive education, people get better work lives. They live up to their capability. They’re better colleagues, they’re better managers and they fulfil their potential.
“We want to thank everybody who has contributed to this journey.”
